UNREST OF FORM. IMAGINING THE POLITICAL SUBJECT

Author‘s Speech: Judith Nika Pfeifer, Secession, Wiener Festwochen 2013

LOOP, this text, a free play on language, imagines a spontaneous welcome extended to all present, a greeting and a hello to all. This face-to-face generates a comprehensive sense of „we“ and a no less radical sense of „you“. Questions, doubts, fears, hopes relating to the world and to us all are externalized, interrupted by bits and pieces of the public discourse that remind us of where we stand.  (Text extract from the catalogue of Unrest of Form. Imagining the Political Subject, an exhibition parcours curated by Karl Baratta, Stefanie Carp, Matthias Pees, Hedwig Saxenhuber, and Georg Schöllhammer.)
